Beef Teriyaki was OK. Presentation was very ho-hum as the beef with veggies which were about 80% onions were sprawled on a plate that you would find in your mom's cabinet. My wife had the Thai Fried Rice which tasted just fine. Stop in and have a try for yourself as the area didn't seem to really have much in the way of Asian fare.

Wow, I was skeptical coming through town at all the great reviews for an Asian place in this a small town but this was actually very good and authentic! The tom yum soup was huge and perfect - very tasty. The thai fried rice is also good and great spice level (I got 3 out of 5) - the pad see euw was a bit weird but still tasted fine. Reasonable prices, clean restaurant- I saw plenty of people eat in and order take out as well.

We ate lunch here yesterday (Saturday August 15th). The waitress asked us if we wanted anything to drink, we don't eat dairy products so we asked if they could make us thai Iced tea using coconut milk. The waitress went and asked the kitchen at which point the kitchen said it's only for cooking. So we went with water instead. When she came to take our order we ordered some appetizers and soup. We were informed that the small cups of soup are not served on the weekends because they weren't busy enough to make it and it ends up sitting in the hot table all day long. My first question is why wouldn't you just have some cold that you could heat up in a sauté pan in the back? My second question is why would you tell customers that you're not busy enough? So needless to say I opted out of my cup of hot and sour soup. My wife was able to get the Tom Kha as that is a soup (with coconut milk???) that they make to order. For entrees my son had shrimp fried rice, my wife had calamari and I ordered pad Thai. My wife and sons food came out first. There were 2 other tables that were seated after us and about 10 minutes after they received their food my pad Thai came out. The waitress apologized and said the Thai chef got backed up. My next question is: how did he get backed up with my order before the other 2 tables? (which coincidentally were the only other two tables in the restaurant ). One bite into my pad Thai and I knew something was wrong. It tasted like the pan had been heated so hot and the oil was smoking before everything was cooked in it. Burnt oil tasting, and no flavor. I sent it back promptly and the waitress offered that we have another one made which I declined due to the amount of time it took for the first one to come out and the fact that my wife and son were already done eating. Why the waitress kept making ridiculous excuses to us about why we can't have this or that instead of using waitstaff etiquette to not make the restaurant seem incompetent boggles my mind. That and my pad Thai is why I'm giving 2 stars. On the plus side I did taste my wife and sons food which was very good and flavorful.

It's one of those unassuming little hole in the wall restaurants that you pass by daily and never think to drop by and try. How many times have I passed this place, I asked myself? Too many! You are allowed to choose how spicy you want your food. My kids don't like spice, my wife likes a little spice, and I love it a lot. We can literally get each meal made to order. My wife orders the pad Thai every time we go. The boys get the yakisoba. I like to mix it up and try a little bit of everything. But my favorite is by far the fresh rolls. It's hard to believe they are healthy! It's not exactly cheap, but the prices are reasonable, especially for how good the food is. The ambience is okay. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Four stars all day long!

Tasty food and great service! Had the shrimp summer rolls, jalapeño calamari, mango ice cream, and sweet green tea to drink. Summer rolls were fresh and delicious. Jalapeño calamari was pretty spicy, but if you like spicy food you'll love it! Mango ice cream was sweet and savory. Waiter was kind and insightful. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I was a little put off by the service in this place. First off.. My husband and I both ordered drinks he ordered a coke and I ordered a Thai iced tea. The waitress never brought him his coke. We both ordered pad Thai chicken. I ordered mine on a spiciness of a 1 and my husband a 5. Let me say they were BOTH 5 super spicy and I couldn't eat it so I sent it back. Then I got the right thing pretty quickly..still no coke. Then we proceeded to sit there for about 10 mins while the waitress made herself a drink and rolled spoons. She even looked at us just sitting there staring at her and never came to fill our water or give us our bill or a box. I literally had to walk up to the front where she walked away as I was walking up there to ask for our check and boxes. I asked the other waitress for it and we left. Sorry about the 50 cent tip.

Who would have thought that SPECTACULAR Thai food is right in this sleepy little town? Great Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice with fresh jalapeños make this a nice find. Don't let the humble little restaurant front fool you; this is how really delicious food is done. I even spied on a few more dishes that also looked quite nice, one of which looked like drunken noodles, vegetables and white rice. I'm hoping to return!

Really enjoyed the Thai. Wasn't expecting much in the unassuming location but the food was great!
(4)Aly G.
Had the summer rolls and teriyaki chicken. They both had great flavor! The service is always great!
(5)Richard N.
Once again excellent food. I would recommend! We had a minor miscommunication (my fault likely) and they responded immediately and fixed it. These people are awesome!

Our family was not impressed. Driving from Portland we based our decision to dine here based on the top reviews . The place was designed like a fast food joint . The food was overcooked and bland . The service was questionable and screwed up the order twice . I give fair reviews and this place does not deserve more than a two star rating

Wheat allergies...beware. Like the food and would highly recommend it, but with the high turnover of staff, consistency is lost. What was once a safe gluten-free dish causes extreme stomach pain today. Too bad...this place was great! The inability to retain quality staff, directly indicates the lack management talent.

Really good Thai food & friendly service. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes Thai and is traveling through town. Would have been nice if they served alcohol. Would go again in a heartbeat. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was not served in the traditional way but that doesn't mean you won't like it.

I review on food alone. The service was okay. I came here yesterday before it was supposed to close and it was closed. However today when I came back I was craving pad see ew. They don't normally serve pad see ew but today they had a special. I also got their hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was just average it wasn't very hot and it wasn't very sour. The pad see ew I ordered, even though i ordered the spiciest level, it wasn't very spicy at all. The sauce also is kind of weird. It wasn't too salty, but it definitely didn't taste like a sweet soy sauce. I think i will stick to my maw phin thai. Or even thai bamboo for pad see ew. Everything was mediocre. It wasn't bad and it wasn't good. Definitely disappointing for me, although I come from the bay area so i used to be very spoiled with asian food. Maybe their regular dishes are much better.

Went here due to the Yelp renewed, as we were craving some thai food! Worked out perfect as my 3year old was able to get some less spicy food too. We were all happy with our food, and even had plenty left to take home!

This place is awesome. Everything I've ever had here is soooo delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is service/kitchen is really slow, friendly, but sllloooooww. If you're in a hurry you may wanna just call in a to go order. The only other con is their spice factor is inconsistent. Sometimes a 3 star feels like death and other times a 4 will leave you wanting. If they could dial that in it would be perfect. But seriously, check them out! The food is delicious!!
(4)Daniel H.
I walked in expecting another teriyaki place. It was busy, and the smell was awesome. I had the red curry chicken, rice, and miso soup. Very good, I will definitely be back for seconds.
(5)Mark C.
We thoroughly enjoyed several Thai dishes when we stopped in while on a road trip. The dishes were all very well prepared, interesting and delicious. You can select your desired level of heat when you order. But the service was OUTSTANDING. The staff were all very attentive, personable and friendly. Our server was as good as any I have ever had.

Asian Twist is a hidden jewel in CdA. My wife and I have been here a few times now and it has become one of our favorite places in town. Every dish I've tried has been fantastic, and so is the friendly staff. The place is spotless and the ingredients are always fresh, especially the crisp vegatables. Even though it's not on the regular menu, I highly recommend asking for the green curry with chicken or shrimp if it's available. It's a lighter and brighter curry than the yellow or red. My mouth is drooling just thinking about it!

Some great preparations of classic Americanized Asian cuisine! I'm new to the area, but have eaten at many of the Asian establishments, as far as affordable options, this is my go to! The Pad Thai is fantastic! Although be careful the spiciness level is inconsistent between orders. I have gone at least once a week since moving here and don't plan on breaking this tradition. TL:DL- If you're craving asian food, go here.

This is a good place for Asian food. My girlfriend and I both got the Dang Gang (red curry) with chicken. We would have preferred a tofu option but didn't see that on the menu. The sauce was a little thin, but the freshness of the veggies and the expertly cooked chicken made up for it. The portions were a good size, but they didn't get us quite enough rice to soak up all the sauce. Minor problems but not insurmountable for enjoying the meal. The service was great, very attentive and prompt. The decor was excellent: clean, modern, and simple with bits of Asian flair. The dining area and tables were extremely clean. I would go back if I were in town again. Edit: I have since learned that the rice is refillable and that there is a vegetarian option listed on the bottom of the menu. So pay more attention than I did and your dining experience here will be even better!

Free soup given upon first visit! Both samples were great! Ordered a Beef Yakisoba and lap Chicken wraps. Yummmm
(5)Sydney S.
I've only had their teriyaki chicken but it was delightful. The portions are decent sized and they serve it with grilled veggies which is nice. For those looking for amazing thai food I would remind them that we are in North Idaho..
(4)Brandon T.
Great service and the food came quickly. However, once it came I was disappointed in my selection of the chicken pad Thai. Too much sauce and too greasy tasting. The ice cream with mango was delicious though.
(3)Chantille C.
I love this place! My husband and I shared a delicious bowl of chicken yakisoba. We had a melon flavored Ramuné which was fun. The decor is authentic and clean. We will definitely be returning!
(5)Joe M.
I have to admit I had my doubts going in, but food was fresh, authentic, and flavorful. Teriyaki chicken was just so so. Wish it was cut in longer pieces and grilled instead of chopped small and sauce was thin. My wife's Soup had all the usual suspects to see Galangal, Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime Leaf, & Thai Bird Chilis. Good stuff. Prices were fair, of course I'm always wanting a bit more for my money, but I understand the costs of the restaurant business. Friendly Service. The decor doesn't really match the name and concept, but as long as the food is good I'm there. I did wish there was a few appetizers. Maybe some gyoza or Thai pnut chicken skewers. I will be back to try the Pad Thai.

Visiting from Seattle which has great Asian food. Best yellow curry I've ever had. Great service as well.
(5)Stephen R.
Excellent food and service! It was my first visit so I asked my waiter and he gave a couple recommendations and the one I chose outstanding. Go with the yellow curry! Large portions and reasonable. Definitely plan on going back.
(5)Ric A.
Very good food! In from out I town with my daughters. Reasonable prices. Little unassuming place in a strip mall kinda job. Good service.
(4)Sarah B.
I have been there so many times the last few weeks. The fried rice and pad thai are both authentically delicious! But if you normally get three or four stars at other thai restaurants, you may want to scale it back to a two here. Super SPICY!
(5)Mark E.
Ok, I moved here two years ago and missed eating great Asian food. Finally, the wait is over. Asian Twist is the place. I've tried all three curries, yum. The basil and garlic, incredible, and the sweet and sour, spicy sweet heaven and the teriyaki. Vegetables are fresh, food is out of this world.

As I first noticed this brilliancy of a restaurant, I was a little hesitant about the name. There is just something about "Asian twist" that doesn't sound appealing. But, I decided to try it anyway, and let me tell you, wow. Everything about this restaurant is astonishing. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a cunning gentleman who made me confident already. The menu, quite frankly, turned me on sexually. They way it looked, the way it read, it was purely elegant. I enjoyed one of the countries finest beverages, the Roy Rogers, as I was waiting for my food. Little did I know the meal I was about to have would rock my world. As soon as I took the first bite of my entrée, I was astonished. The meat was cooked to perfection, the rice took my tastebuds to Thailand, minus the explosive diarrhea. And to add to it all, they played a brilliant selection of relaxing soul music at a fantastic volume that put my mind and tastebuds at ease. All in all this place is a must visit if you are anywhere within 500 miles from it. Asian twist is the epidemy of all things class. A must visit.

Amazing food. Excellent service. Very affordable. Spring rolls were so delicious they had us coming back for more. The peanut sauce was refreshing. Teriyaki and Thai dishes were tasty with the Thai dish served at the level of heat desired. The teriyaki was not too sweet- just right. Last time we got the coconut ice cream and it was a very surprising and delectable end to a superb dining experience. We will be back to try more menu items.
(5)Max L.
Best Asian food ever! Fresh, delicious, and wonderful service! Best sweet in sour soup I ever had! Will be back for more!
(5)Teandra M.
Saw this little place pop up not too long ago and decided to give it a try. With an Asian heritage, I am always hesitant to try new restaurants like Asian Twist. BUT, it was well worth the risk. The food was delicious and close to traditional. Prices are great and the service was down to earth and pleasant. I will definitely be going back again as there are so many things I want to try!
(4)Ryan D.
Place is great! Great prices, great food and great service! Fries rice is so good! And right now they have some great specials. Ask for them! They have a star system for spicy.
(5)Jag A.
By far the best Asian restaurant in the Coeur d'Alene area. Asian Twist will give Thai Bamboo a run for their money. The dishes are very well priced, and there's enough variation on the menu where you could eat there a few times a week and not get tired of it. If you like noodle dishes, I would suggest the pad drunken. If you're more of a meat and veggies fan I would suggest the sweet and sour. But everything on their menu is outstanding, from the curries to the terriyaki.

I've been here a few times for lunch over the past couple of weeks and have been very pleased so far. Food is great. I love the pad Thai and drunken noodles. Both are excellent. Atmosphere is nice. Service is good. It's not terribly fast, though. Plan on nearly an hour if sitting down for lunch. It probably takes a solid 20-25 minutes to order and get your food. It's very good, though
(5)Jersey H.
Food was good for the price, but takeout at 6 on a Thursday night (one yellow curry and one pad Thai) took 50 minutes to prepare. The manager exclaimed when a waiter went to see what was taking so long that "it has been ready for 15 minutes but I couldn't find you!" ...this is a storefront where there were 15 patrons tops. Would've given 4 or 5 stars if service had been faster. I'll definitely be trying it again to see if the service times get better.

FINALLY!! A good place to eat in CDA, yummy!! Fresh, spicy, great service, flavor!! This place is great.
(5)G J.
Best Thai food around!!! Real Thai cooks cooking the traditional Thai food but with a twist! If you appreciate food then you will love this place. Very friendly staff.
(5)Michael V.
still madly in love with the thai fried rice (the teppan fried rice is amazing as well!!!) but had to scale back my rating. wanted my wife to try this place. thought i was playing it safe getting her sweet and sour chicken. it was just ok, but it was spicy (not indicated on their menu). i like spicy food so i didnt mind. she doesnt. that didnt go over well.
